The good
With over 60 friends and family members in attendance, Jesus Luzardo looked pretty good in his first career Opening Day start. Luzardo went 5 innings, allowing just two hits and two free passes and generating 18 swings and misses. His one mistake came with one out and a runner on first in the third inning when Bryan Reynolds smacked a 2-run home run to right field.

Jake Burger & Josh Bell started the season strong, with both reaching base three times. Burger also hit a crucial sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.
